أوضحت مديرية العلاقات العامة في قوى الأمن الداخلي، أنه يمنع قانوناً على عناصر ورتباء وضباط قوى الأمن كتابة أي منشور ذات طابع سياسي أو ينتقد مؤسسات الدولة، وذلك استناداً إلى المادة 160 من قانون تنظيم قوى الأمن الداخلي التي تنص على أنه "لا يحق لرجال قوى الأمن الداخلي في الخدمة الفعلية ولا للاحتياطيين الذين استأنفوا الخدمة تحت طائلة العقوبات التأديبية والجزائية نشر المقالات أو إلقاء محاضرات أو خطابات أو الإدلاء بتصريحات إلى وسائل الإعلام قبل الحصول على إذن مسبق من المدير العام".
